1. Dude, where did you find the "Hipsters' Holiday" CD ???
And can you tell me if there are any instrumental only cuts on it? I've been searching since 2002 for this unbelievable arrangement of "The Nutcracker Suite" performed by the Basie Band, and it is SLAMMIN. And I heard it at Starbucks, of all places. I asked the clerk what album it was from, and he said it was a compilation just for in-store play - it wasn't for sale. CRAP!!! And I've been checking Starbucks releases since then and haven't found it.

Also where did you find the Ray Gospel Christmas? - that looks pretty sweet too.

2. Got all four of 'em at Borders.
I haven't listened to HIPSTER'S HOLIDAY yet, but it appears to be an all-vocal collection. And, sorry to say, the Count Basie track you want is *not* included on it.

12. Have you tried amazon.com for the Basie track?
Haven't been there in a while, but I seem to recall that Amazon has a search feature for both artist and title. Hey, it's worth a try!

14. Are you serious? Did the Meters REALLY do a Hanukkah album?
I ask because I once heard a college radio D.J. play a reggae version of "Dreidel, Dreidel, Dreidel." So if you're just kidding about the Meters, it's hard for me to tell!

16. The Ray Charles gospel CD ends with a remake of "America The Beautiful."
Just imagine Brother Ray doing that song with a 120-voice gospel choir behind him. Sent chills down my spine, y'all!
