4. James Spader's character was defending a department store Santa...

...who was fired because he was a crossdresser.

As the case went along, it appeared more and more likely that Spader's character was going to lose the case (mostly because the judge presiding the case was a fundie) - so he called in a favor from William Shatner's character:

An appearance by Reverend Al, with the promise of putting three "God Almighty"s into his speech.

Sharpton showed up at the end of the trial, the court full of media. Problem is, the Reverend assumed the Santa was fired because he was black. Without missing a beat, he said in his own Rev. Al style, "Let the world have a gay Santa Claus!" (even though the crossdresser wasn't gay).

Al put in his three promised "God Almighty"s, then added a fourth -- and the court erupted in applause, the Santa winning his case with the help of media pressure.

Before Al walked out, he whispered to Spader, "I threw in that last one for free."

:D

3. Tell us what happened?
Did Al kick butt, or did Al get his butt kicked? Can't believe Al would get his butt kicked though.

Al Sharpton should be the DNC leader, wouldn't that be a kick?
Would that flame the RW? May be it is about time the DNC get daring.

...so I haven't seen it as much as I'd like. Big Shatner and Spader fan here.

Hopefully I can catch the Rev's first appearance on repeats.
