With Tom Hanks?? Renting a movie tonight and couldn't decide on anything...this looked good from it's trailers. Any thoughts or suggestions for another movie?

3. Enjoyable
We watched "The Terminal" this weekend, and really enjoyed it. I didn't expect to and was pleasantly surprised. Didn't see Tom Hanks playing a role, saw him as the character he was portraying. The movie might make you laugh and maybe even tear at your heart strings. It's not a blockbuster, but a nice popcorn flick to watch more than once.

10. Look into "The Station Agent"
A sadly overlooked gem - worth getting if the video store is out of whatever you went in for. Watching it is actually worth the hour and a half of your life that it costs to do so.

12. It's O.K., if you like to look at ads during a two hour long movie
Edited on Mon Nov-29-04 03:24 PM by Goathead
That was what really bugged me about 'Terminal' was the product placement ads in the movie. They were everywhere. Starshmucks, Murder King, Borders, and several airlines. Tom Hanks is probably the biggest name in Hollywood right now and the corporations know it. They basically build story lines around products now, think about Federal Express and the Tom Hanks movie 'Castaway'. Shameless!!!

If we do get it I won't be able to ignore them, kinda like talking to someone with a pimple. I wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't pointed it out kinda thing. :spank:
