4. Yes, I feel very unhappy and uneasy. I was just thinking that today
I don't feel at all like myself. Do you kind of feel lost? Not really connected?

12. That's not really it
But I did feel that way strongly after Nov. 3. Now, I'm not angry or sad, just resigned to the catastrophes that lie ahead.

But in the case of my job, I wish they would decide one way or another. I really want to stay here, so I'm just hanging on.

9. Yeah, I don't know what direction to take my life.
I was going to make plans depending upon how the election turned out and now I'm having trouble following through.

I'm going to give up one of my parrots and probably sell my entire snake collection because the future doesn't look good and I don't know if I will be able to feed myself, let alone them.

I've been meaning to get in touch with the director of a symphony in Modesto to try out for the chorus because I can no longer look the local director in the eye without wanting to slap the shit out of him. I'm afraid there will already be too many altos. Women singers aren't too hard to find. But...but, I'm a really GOOD alto...some say I'm a GREAT alto...sniff.

Because I am trying to keep my toxic family away, I sometimes go days without even speaking. That can't be good for my voice. I should at least exercise it...sigh. :(

33. Yeah
Decision postponed again for two more weeks. Like waiting will make money magically appear. :eyes:

I really do want to stay on here, or I would be out the door. I do have a cushion, so I'm sure everything will work out.

It's Jason, too. I'm just getting impatient with the move. I dropped him back off in Ohio to settle things, but he really hasn't been very definitive on when he's coming back. He's very weird about time and planning.

I do have his car parked in my garage, though.

39. Ugh
Boys. Being a musician makes it even more fun, doesn't it. :eyes:

Maybe I'm wrong, but it sounds like they're at least making an effort to find the money someplace. I know the times I've had to deal with "reorganization", the axe usually falls swiftly and without much warning. Of course, in my former profession, it had to be like that, otherwise the help would end up drinking all the profits before they cleared out. }(

Hopefully it will all work out. :-)

As a musician, is his mind wired differently?

I would have to say that it is one of the areas in which we most have to compromise. He would just get in a car and drive where the road leads. I don't need to have a detailed agenda, but I do need some sort of framework, like a place to stay and possible activities.

46. Oh, they're different alright
I'm actually kind of like that myself. I've taken trips like that, with no itinerary, not knowing where I'll sleep that night, etc., I love it. Of course, if I'm traveling with people who want to make plans, I can do that too. ;-)

30. Are We the Waiting?
Are We The Waiting?

Starry nights, city lights coming down over me
Skyscrapers, stargazers in my head
Are we? We are. Are we? We are the waiting unknown
This dirty town is burning down in my dreams
Lost and found, city-bound in my dreams
And screaming: Are we? We are. Are we? We are the waiting
And screaming: Are we? We are. Are we? We are the waiting
Forget-me-nots, second thoughts live in isolation
Heads or tails, fairytales in my mind
Are we? We are. Are we? We are the waiting unknown
Rage and love, the story of my life
The Jesus of Suburbia is a lie
And screaming: Are we? We are. Are we? We are the waiting
And screaming: Are we? We are. Are we? We are the waiting unknown
Are we? We are. Are we? We are the waiting
And screaming: Are we? We are. Are we? We are the waiting unknown
Are we? We are. Are we? We are the waiting unknown

44. Oh yes.
It never involved a layoff though. When I've been laid off, they didn't waste any time with it: I got the word and then asked to clean out my stuff immediately.

I'm hoping things turn out well for you.
