why is is so freaking hard to regulate temperatures in buildings?

Does the air conditioning really need to kick in when it's 45 degrees outside????

I like having it cold, but I have the hottest office around. If I could wear shorts I would. We open the window in the winter (thank goodness for windows that still open)

in addition to my space heater, I also have a blanket for the winter months. I have a giant fan for the summer.

where the radiators are painted open. I sweat in here all the time and I hate the heat. Dammit.
