Posting new cute pet pics!
Ok everyone, post your cutest pet pics here! I will start off... these were taken recently, before Magic got his hair cut... he was pretty shaggy! And the cats are just fluff balls! Nightmare is the black momma cat and Smoke is her gray-haired son!

1. Chora!
She's visiting her grandparents in Ohio for a few weeks. Her mom and dad miss her. :(

How old is she? My cats are 14 and 13, and my dog is 4.

5. She's five.
Chora is five. My wife picked her out at a Planned Pethood kitty rescue event when she was about a year old. She's a tough girl, but knows how to look cute for the camera.

13. Is that a map she's hiding under?
That photo is adorable! I don't think that cat could get any flatter if she tried, LOL!

20. yes, it's a map of Ohio
She likes to know where she's going on her long car trips.

Chora's always trying to fit into spaces that are way too small for her. Paper grocery bags, for example.

35. Larkspur
Edited on Sun Dec-19-04 03:34 PM by Maestro
is full blooded Belgian Malinois. They are work dogs by trade. Many military and police squads use them instead of the German Shepherd. Lackland Air Force Base has a huge training area for this breed. In fact in those horrible Abu Ghraib prison pictures, one of the dogs harrassing the prisoner is a Belgian Malinois. Anyhow, having said that, we know several breeders and when they breed a pup that just doesn't feel like working, instead of putting it down, they have a list of families that are familiar with this breed and can work with them. They contact them and see if one of the families is ready to take on a new pet. We are on that list. Larkspur is our second Malinois. Our other one, Minx, passed away some two years ago at 14.

They are high maitenance dogs but very loyal, smart, and fun to be around if you can handle their idiosyncrasies. However, Larkspur just wants to run, play and have fun. In fact, she is a pussy cat really. Wouldn't harm a fly. She is even scared of my 3 year old. ;)

2. Mine both got a bath today.
Then they cuddled on the sofa while they dried off. It was enough to make me say "Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!" and take a picture.

And here's the "before" shot:

7. Except for rescued cocker spaniels!
Like my Magic. he had heartworms, was picked up as a stray, and the SPCA was going to 'dispose' of him! I adopted him, got his heartworm treatment, and he is now heartworm free! He's the BEST, sweetest dog I've ever had!

Sorry, just had to brag about my baby!

41. Pure-bred miniature poodle ...
his legs are long, but not quite as long as they look in the picture. He's sitting on a chair with his front legs hanging over the seat. He was leaning forward a little bit because by the time this picture was taken, he was pretty much fed up with the whole "photo session" thing and he was about to attack the camera, LOL!

I took 36 pictures - only three or four of them looked good and this one was the best. Getting a poodle to sit still is not easy - he HATES the flash, so whenever he saw me lift the camera, he would turn his head away just as I snapped the photo. I ended up with 30 poodle profile shots, LOL!

45. Yeah, I have an old cat who does the EXACT same thing!
Even if you try to "sneak" a shot, he's on to you. Thank goodness for digital cameras, otherwise I wouldn't even try!

I've read that poodles are the one of the most intelligent of all dog breeds, right up there with border collies. Got any good poodle stories?

Oh my gad, I am laughing my asssss offfff, that is the silliest furrball I have ever seen!!!!!!!!! I absolutely love fat furrrrrballlls! I want a postcard of those chub-balls. :D

My Snickers used to be fat, but she got sick and has lost alot of weight. Vet said its kitty leukemia. She's hanging in fine, eating like a pig, but isn't gaining much weight. I can't really call her "Oh Great Queen of Chubbiness" anymore. Her sister Shmoo is fine. Used to be the skinny one, but with the extra feedings, she's lookin' pretty plump these days.

19. My 2 "found" puppies - neither of whom is a puppy any more
Sceolaun - She's a cocker spaniel mix I found running by the side of the road after a big snow storm (I'm not sure I found her so much as she found me). She just came right over to me kinda like, "What the heck took you so long? Here I am." She's about 9 years old now. "The Princess Sceolaun"

Reilly - He's a terrier mix. Maybe Jack Russell? He showed up in the front yard one day. "Hi, I'm yours. Did ya miss me?" He's about 2 years old. Did I mention he managed to scale a 6' brick wall? And I didn't name him Houdini because I didn't want to give him any ideas. Guess he already had ideas of his own.

The first one is my spooky cat Pugs, ever alert and guarding the fire escape from pigeons.

This one is my mom's fat little cat, who likes to sleep between the couch cover and the couch (and gets sat on alot).

No relation between the two! :)

Poor guy; Oberon is twice his size!

Most pictures I have of him he's either acting psycho and running around, or sitting there.

He smiles mainly when he's panting, it is pretty funny.
