1. Kashmir
But my tastes run to the unusual, so you may want to get other opinions.

30. I agree with you about "Thank You."
If I ever do meet the right man and get married, that is the song I would want played for our first dance. The music, and the sentiment, is just beautiful.

6. D'yer Maker or however you spell it. LOVE it....or Black Dog.
Or that other one I know. That goes woman....something....

I only know about 5 Led Zep songs, and they have this irritating habit of titling their songs completely independent of the lyrics, so....sigh.

11. Ramble On - Because I thinking of it and Scott
Leaves are falling all around,
It’s time I was on my way.
Thanks to you, I’m much obliged
For such a pleasant stay.

But now it’s time for me to go,
The autumn moon lights my way.
For now I smell the rain,
And with it pain,
And it’s headed my way.
Ah, sometimes I grow so tired,
But I know I’ve got one thing I got to do,

Ramble on,
And now’s the time, the time is now
To sing my song.
I’m goin’ ’round the world,
I got to find my girl, on my way.
I’ve been this way ten years to the day, ramble on,
Gotta find the queen of all my dreams.

Got no time to for spreadin’ roots,
The time has come to be gone.
And tho’ our health we drank a thousand times,
It’s time to ramble on.

Ramble on,
And now’s the time, the time is now
To sing my song.
I’m goin’ ’round the world,
I got to find my girl, on my way.
I’ve been this way ten years to the day, ramble on,
Gotta find the queen of all my dreams.

I ain’t tellin’ no lie.

Mine’s a tale that can’t be told,
My freedom I hold dear;
How years ago in days of old
When magic filled the air,
T’was in the darkest depths of mordor
I met a girl so fair,
But gollum, and the evil one crept up
And slipped away with her.
Her, her....yea.
Ain’t nothing I can do, no.

Ramble on,
And now’s the time, the time is now
To sing my song.
I’m goin’ ’round the world,
I got to find my girl, on my way.
I’ve been this way ten years to the day, ramble on,
Gotta find the queen of all my dreams.

Gonna ramble on, sing my song
Gotta keep-a-searchin’ for my baby...
Gonna work my way, round the world
I can’t stop this feelin’ in my heart
Gotta keep searchin’ for my baby
I can’t find my bluebird!
I’d listen to my bluebird sing but I can’t find my blue bird
A-keep-a ramblin’ baby...

17. couple suggestions
find that live acoustic version of "Gallows Pole" that Plant/Page recorded in the early '90s.

And "When the Levee Breaks" is a must. I love Bron-yr-Aur Stomp and Battle of Evermore, but I'm wierd.

I'd leave off Stairway to Heaven because I'm so goddamned sick of the song, and Immigrant Song because it's stupid as hell... ;)

21. tangerine, that's the way, anything from "houses"
gawd there's so many - I started listening in '73, and my brain cells started dying shortly afterward, so I may be of little help.

Last week there were some posts on the group YES - well these 2 were my favorites, then came Dead and the Moody Blues and ELP, etc.

27. How many Zep songs do you have space for
If you have room for more than one, and you want to cover the spectrum, I would recommend:

Babe I'm Gonna Leave You (for Robert Plant's Blues Chops)
Tangerine (One of their best downshift songs)
What Is And What Should Never Be (my personal favorite, even though it's one of their "obvious" songs)
D'Yer Maker (just great Led Zeppelin Rock and Roll)

I said, I can't quit you babe…
But I'm gonna put you down for awhile…

I'm not sure if they actually wrote that one, however. They probably stole it. And they certainly didn't write How Many More Times. Even Bring It On Home is a mishmash of "borrowed" stuff. And of course their best cover was Travelin' Riverside Blues. Gallows Pole? Ooops, they lifted that one, too. Dazed & Confused? Sorry, they stole that one outright.

I hate to say Stairway, but Stairway it is. Their finest moment.
