I had a horrible night!
Edited on Sun Jan-09-05 03:18 AM by Sean Reynolds
It all started well, my friends and I were going to go see a movie. So I drive out to Magna, which is located all the way on the other side of the Salt Lake Valley, to pick up my friend. I get to her house and realize I'm low on gas. Of course this is a new development and it's in the middle of no where. So I hit this road that skirts the side of the mountain and realize it's taking me further and further from the city (I can still see the lights out my window however). Noticing my tank is almost empty I make a turn toward the city and drive right into a subdivision. Of course every road I drive down ends in a dirt hill for further development. I'm sweating because I don't want to hit empty. I notice a car pulled off to the side while the driver gets their mail. So I hop out of my car and jump on over to their car. At this time they're starting to pull away and I smack the window, to get their attention. They stop and the lady rolls the window down and tells me how to get out of the area and toward a gas station.

Things are looking good, right? Well they were.....

So I get gas and head back toward the city. We decide to go see White Noise, or whatever it's called, and get to the theatre. After about 10 minutes of looking for parking I give up and find a side street a block from the theatre. I find a space and park. Since I have my digital camera in the backseat, I decide to move it up into a little cubby between the driver's and passenger's seat. I lock and shut the door.

But wait, I left my car keys in the backseat when I bent over to get the camera! Oh joy! So it's gettin really good now.....

I decide that I'll call my mom for the spare key. So I everyone of my friend's starts running toward the Wendy's right next to the movie theatre. My mind, which is racing a mile a minute, pretty much blocks out every thing and I start running too. Next thing I know everyone jumps and before I could realize as to why they're jumping my legs hit a little metal rope that was blocking the parking lot from cars. I go flying to the ground, smashing my face into it....bending my wrist and ripping up my already bad knees. I get up, obviously in pain, and hobble over to the damn Wendy's where I go into the bathroom to clean all the blood off. At this point everyone is looking at me like I had just been shot in the face....

After cleaning up most the blood I ask the lady if they have a pay phone, they don't. I'm starting to get REALLY pissed now and walk over to the movie theatre. I FINALLY find a pay phone and go to call my mom, however I don't have change. Not wanting to break a 20, I call my mom collect. Except I get a message saying that this phone won't accept collect calls.

I calmly (not really I started slamming the phone) hang up and walk toward the arcade, where I realized I had an extra buck. Thinking I can break it for 4 quarters, I put it in. However I don't realize that it's for TOKENS and not QUARTERS. So I get 4 tokens. My leg is killing me, my wrist is fucked and my chin feels like someone lit a firecracker on it. So I toss the tokens and charge over to where they sell drinks. But of course they can't break my money....so I head over to the ticket office and this guy starts joking, asking me why he should break my money. I'm twitching at this point and finally get two quarters to call home (wouldn't you know it, I left my damn cell phone at home tonight).

Go to call, mom answers and she tells me no one can come down and get me, so she says for me to call Triple A. I said no and that I'd get one of my friend's parents to come get us and take me home for I can get the second key.

Not one of them were home. So we decide to walk to the closest house, which was 4 or so miles from the theatre. Now I'm in real pain, my leg can't fully bend and I'm just really wanting to shove my foot up someone's ass. Finally we get to his house, he drives me to my house, I get the key go back to the street and it all works out in the end.

But oh boy what a night.

And to make it even more worse...I just found out Khephra died. Makes my post seem a bit trivial. :(
