I'm not obsessed by music---Is there something wrong with me?

I'm not obsessed by music as other DUers seem to be.

All my life it's been like this, women get swooned by a passionate musician, and I'm jealous because I can't sing or play an instument...

I love music, but, with the exception of Bob Dylan, I just can't get passionate about any particular musician or group...

Or am I just nuts for not being into the music scene?

1. Not nuts...to each his own! There are many outlets of interest -

I personally could not get through the day without music, I have it playing in my head even at work - I own over 1000 CDs and that is still not enough. I am sure you have hobbies or interests that are particular to you that I would not consider much fun...

Are there any songs you can listen to that have the ability to instantly change your mood?

Are there any songs that you listen to that you hear the lyrics and it's almost like they're singing about your life?

I sing all the time, in the car, when I'm in a good mood...

I just have a horrible singing voice...:(

7. I love music, but I am the type of person that can sit in the car for

an hour and not realize that I don't have the radio on. It's just wierd.

And, I listen to CD's around the house, but I don't consider myself obsessed, either.

Like Shananigans said above, I can be in the car for hours and not think to turn on the radio.

but I can't for the world get myself to become intersted in sports. I don't think I have ever watched any kind of game on the telly.

12. You may not just have an ear for Music.

I've met several folks in my life that have absolutely, Zero interest in musical tones.
It does make sense if you consider that some people have "Perfect Pitch" or the ability to just know what a note (or chord) is that's being played. (Yeah..I'm one of them but don't pat me on the back..just lucky Genes) Anyway, it stands to reason that some folks would be born on the opposite end of the spectrum.
When it comes to public speaking..I suck the Big One...so..everybody has their plus and minuses .. :)
