3. Actually this time you're wrong - I'm listening to Giant Steps. Whoops
just turned to Mingus Ah Um - I've got it on shuffle.

Jupiter Variation (Impulse 9360) is out of print but all the songs have been put out on various re-releases. I think I'll put them together in my iTunes and reconstruct the album with the original artwork. Thanks for the project prof!

4. I Am NOT Wrong
What part of "no further disagreement" do you not understand? Don't make me come over there, Chavez! If i have to get up, there's gonna be big trouble. You'll be grounded for at LEAST a month!

5. I listened to Coltrane "Live at the Village Vanguard 1966"
yesterday....classic Pharoah/Alice/John/Rashied lineup.

And today, I'm listening to Essential Logic; I guess it's sorta punk jazz from the early 80's.

9. Yup, good stuff....
I want to find more Pharoah Sanders, but jazz fan friends of mine have told me he never made a satisfying album......Who knows?

BTW, Revenant Records put out a 10-CD (!!!!!!!!!!) collection of Albert Ayler's complete works last year.....I'm almost tempted to blow an entire paycheck on it.

14. Feeling "TWISTED"?
My analyst told me (what?)
That I was right out of my head
The way he described it (how?)
He said I'd be better dead than live
I didn't listen to his jive
I knew all along
he was all wrong
And I knew that he thought (what?)
I was crazy but I'm not
0h no (on no?) (oh no?)

My analyst told me (what?)
That I was right out of my head
He said I'd need treatment (yeah?)
But I'm not that easily led
He said I was the type
That was most inclined
When out of his sight
To be out of my mind
And he thought I was nuts (nuts?)
No more ifs or ands or buts
oh no (oh no?) (oh no?)

They say as a child
I appeared a little bit wild
With all my crazy ideas
But I knew what was happening
I knew I was a genius...
What's so strange when you know
That you're a wizard at three
I knew that this was meant to be

but I heard little children
Were supposed to sleep tight
That's why I got into the vodka one night
My parents got frantic
Didn't know what to do
But I saw some crazy scenes
Before I came to
Now do you think I was crazy?
I may have been only three
But I was swingin

They all laugh at angry young men
They all laugh at Edison
And also at Einstein
So why should I feel sorry
If they just couldn't understand
The reasoning and the logic
That went on in my head
I had a brain
It was insane
Oh they used to laugh at me
When I refused to ride
On all those double decker buses
All because there was no driver on the top
(no driver on the top? this chick is twisted. what's the
matter with her?)
(she must be out of her head)-"this line is spoken on top of previous line

My analyst told me (what?)
That I was right out of my head
the way he described it (how?)
he said i'd be better dead that live
i didn't listen to his jive
i knew all along
he was all wrong
and i knew that he thought (what?)
i was crazy
but i'm not.
oh no (oh no?) (oh no?)

my analyst told me (what?)
that i was right out of my head.
but i said, dear doctor, (yeah?)
i think that it's you instead.
cause I
have got a thing
that's unique and new.
it proves that I'll have
the last laugh on you,
cause instead of one head (one head?)
I got two
and you know two heads are better than one.

17. Hey CStT -ever listen to Libby York?
Don't know how fond you are of female jazz vocalists- but York is a "cool school" vocalist along the lines of June Christy, Anita O'Day et al.

Her latest effort is "Sunday In New York" - with Frank Wess still playing a fine tenor, Renee Rosnes, Billy Drummond and a bassist whose name escapes me.

Very nice.
