Inauguration: feelings split between depression and humiliation...
Either way, I'm very depressed about the inauguration of Dictator Bush. We worked so hard for *four years* to 'undo the (first) coup.'

What a depressing, embarrassing day...

Thanks for letting me vent/rant.

2. All the thousands of hours I spent fighting the Bush regime...
...all for naught.

And, what makes this time *worse* is that the 'general' public does not even know this was a coup d'etat, as well (as the one in 2000).

3. it does suck...
but I, for one, promise to do whatever I can, whenever I can, and wherever I can to let those that aren't aware of this theft know what happened. I swear on Joey, my boxer dog.

It does help a little to know that they had to steal this one too, y'know what I mean? Perhaps this is our mission---to shine a light on vote fraud and do what we can to ensure that those responsible for it are held accountable. Maybe I'm naive, but I think one person really can make a difference; hundreds of thousands of us...

Our progressive forebearers achieved abolition, education reform, women's suffrage, workers' rights, an end to McCarthy's poison. Civil rights. Nixon. Hell, I'm only 28 and I remember a not-so-distant past when gay rights would NEVER see the light of day. It wasn't even a part of the discussion. And I know we're not there yet, not by a long shot, but we're moving. And we're moving others that
otherwise wouldn't have even thought about these issues.

It sucks. But it sucked worse for Alice Paul. She kept going. It sucked for for MLK and MX and they kept going. The kids at Kent State
were not only right, they were correct. These battles aren't for little things and they're going to take time. And sucky work.

We owe it to people like that to keep going too.
