I had a dream....
that possibly could of been foreshadowing my day.

I got off of work this morning, and went to sleep. (background: I've been married a year and a half, and both my wife and I hate living here in rural Japan) I woke up at around 250PM, and went into my living room, and seen my wife laying on the couch looking slightly upset. So, we have ourselved a half hour chat about how our marriage isn't quite so rosy, and I'm supposedly an inattentive jerk who doesn't romance as much as when we were dating. That's a whole other story.

Well, while I was sleeping today, I had a dream that I was about to crawl into bed, when a snake bit my leg by my ankle. I came out of my bedroom and saw my wife on her computer, and when I asked her to take me to the hospital, she said she was too busy. I was kind of shocked, but I got my keys and went out to my car. I drove myself to the hospital on base, but was unable to find the emergency room. I had to wonder all over the building, asking numerous people for help, and I found my way by going thru a library in the basement of this hospital. As it turns out, it wasn't much of a bite, and it was by a non-lethal snake. The doctors rubbed alcohol on my leg and sent me on my way.

After this, I woke up, used the restroom, and went back to sleep where I had another dream, but I was back in high school. (I graduated in 99). I dreamt that I had gone back to see a former teacher of mine that was a sort of mentor to me. Turns out, he wasn't there either. When I went into his class room, there was a substitue.

I woke up again, and had the conversation which I spoke about above.

Could this all be a coincedence or is this some sort of sign?

1. I believe dreams are the subconscious mind's way of working out problems
and it presents them in ways the conscious mind can process (eventually). I would say you've been aware of the marriage problem, subconsciously.

2. I just find it odd..
that in my dream that I get the cold shoulder in my time of need, and then I get a lecture that she doesn't feel as important to me as she used to be.

Hrms. :(

3. Who says the problem is entirely your creation?
What about your needs and feelings? Is it possible that you've been feeling neglected? That would be my guess. Or there's another theory that all the characters is a dream are representations of the dreamer. I don't believe that, necessarily, but there's a school that would say the wife in your dream is also you.
