We saw "Finding Neverland" today....WOW...
What a great movie. We laughed, we cried. It was about the best in all of us, and it was a movie that everyone needs to see. Johnny Depp is magnificient, and so are the kids in the movie. Sooo fabulous. HAve any of you seen it? What did you think? If you haven't seen it, you should go. The visuals, the costumes, the acting are superb.

1. Loved it and ditto on all of your observances.
Can't understand why "The Aviator" received nominations for anything. I thought the characters had no depth and were wooden. The cinematography was good.

Jamie Fox in "Ray" WAS the man. I had to keep reminding myself that it wasn't Ray on the screen. Got to say his performance was over the top for me.

3. I agree with you about Aviator
Lots of technical flaws in the beginning. (Bad edititng.) DiCaprio was okay, but not great... but then I'm not a DiCaprio fan. I loved Cate Blanchette, but then I would love her if she stood and did nothing for two hours. Alan Alda was great, but again he could stand for two hours and do nothing and I would love it.

Won't see Neverland until the end of the month. Live out in the hinterlands and am lucky that good films get here at all.

5. Great film.
Everything in it worked, even though it has one of those previews that gives away almost everything that happens in the film (but that's a rant for another day).

Loved it. ****

7. See, I didn't think it did.
I didn't know about what happened to Kate Winslet's character. And her mother is a bitch in that movie until the end.

8. I absolutely loved it....and I was bawling at the very
end...how moving.

of course Johnny Depp is not hard on the eyes and he did an excellent job as JM Barrie. In any other year he would be a shoe in for best actor but I suspect the Oscar will go to Jaime Foxx for Ray.
