So I think I'm going to make spaghetti and meatballs.
Which brand is the best sauce? I'm going to the store and I'm up for suggestions.

2. It's all garbage but there are a few good choices
Here in Kansas City, you can find several of the fine local Italian restaurant's bottled sauces stocked on the shelves.

It's way better than the mass produced crap like Ragu or Prego.

So, look hard and maybe you will see something similar.

You can also try Emeril's sauces (he has like 4 or 5 different ones) that are better than average.

Or you can make your own. It's really not that hard!

4. Barilla is a great Jarred Sauce
It's by far the best I've found among the reasonably affordable brands. Their Puttanesca (sometimes labeled black and green olive) is great with a little added red pepper for extra kick.

It's the only bottled sauce I will use.
