I felt sorry for the guy, but I had to laugh
when the Super Bowl announcer mentioned that a player was dealing with cramps.

Pass the Midol, please...

1. Skiing, swimming and horseback riding, yes.....
football, not mentioned. (I'm talking things you can do while 'on Tampax', in case you're too young to remember the ads!)

4. That's true...
They always showed women wearing their bright white tennis dresses, which made me think, "Yeah. Right."

...as well as the tacky (but funny) jokes about kids looking for something to do!

3. I saw the photograph
Edited on Mon Feb-07-05 01:14 AM by Swamp Rat
He blew his mind out in a car
He didn’t notice that the lights had changed...

edit: It's a bit cryptic - I heard John Lennon singing "but I had to laugh" at the same time I saw this thread.

7. Bill Cosby, back in the day when he really was funny,
did a hilarious routine about having a headache and his wife gave him all she had--Midol, despite his objections (He was afraid of side-effects, you see).

He said it worked marvelously, and he tried to tell offer the same when a buddy had a headache.

9. I've always gotten a certain amount of pleasure
Out of hearing that a guy had to have his prostate exam. It's difficult to feel sorry for them - women go through monthly menstrual hell, childbearing and birth, as well as menopause, pelvic exams and mammograms. What do men have? Prostate exams. Yeah, I always like to hear it when it's their turn. Sorry guys, but you have no idea....

Plus we get paid less!

10. Uh...actually, they were muscle cramps brought on by...
dehydration, and at least two other Eagles suffered them. Which leads me to believe they were not adequately supplied with electrolytes, minerals and liquids in the days leading up to the game, and thereby raises a question about the training regime. The game was played in a warmer clime than either team was used to, putting added stress on their bodies.

11. It was just the way the announcer said it...
and the fact that most women I know, including myself, talk about "dealing with cramps" on a monthly basis.

I'm sorry the guys were hurting, though....

You may be onto something with regard to their training regimen. But it seems a little odd to me that the players wouldn't recognize that.
