Derek Taylor wrote in the sleeve of "Beatles for Sale"
This was written in the sleeve of the album in 1964

"There's priceless history between these covers. When, in a generation or so, a radioactive, cigar-smoking child, picknicking on Saturn, asks you what the Beatle affair was all about, don't try to explain all about the long hair and the screams! Just play them a few tracks from this album and he'll probably understand. The kids of AD2000 will draw from the music much the same sense of well being and warmth as we do today."

This was in 1964. Pre-Sgt. Pepper, Pre-Revolver, Pre-White Album. Go to http://www.beatles-discography.com for more stuff like this. Very fun for my fellow Beatleheads.

I was a Beatles baby and still my fave era is 62-66. My parents say my first words were, "Yeah yeah yeah."

edit: 2nd fave Macca tune next to Hold Me Tight.

2. Mojo has an excellent book
The Beatles: Ten Years That Shook The World. It's a comp that collect the 1000 Days that Shook the World series in one volume. Worth every penny of $40

It has all types of little things like that in it plus original album and single reviews from NME etc
