1. Funny you mention it...

...probably the dumbest thing a high school teacher had ever done was to tell a class that the proper web address was whitehouse.gov, and NOT whitehouse.com, the latter being a porn site. How appropriate.

6. Here's a Good One

I was teching a computer class a few years ago and was talking about search engines, so I said something like "For example, there's one called lycos.com that we can all go to".

So they all go it, except for one poor woman who accidentally typed "licos.com". I'm standing at the back of the room looking at the screens, watching for trouble, when a huge picture of a woman...doing things...pops up on this woman's computer. I thought for sure I was going to lose my job. Luckily, she chalked it up as a "good lesson about keeping an eye on what sites your kids visit".
