Poll question: Have you ever experienced a ghost?
It can be any kind of encounter - not just visual. I'm interested in the paranormal, though I haven't had any encounters and couldn't be an investigator - would be too timid.

4. Me too!
It's like being exposed to spiders! After awhile, it's an 'oh,-it's-you-again' type of thing. I'm not trying to convince anyone. I know it happens.

2. Do a search on "The Myrtles Plantation" in St. Francisville, LA
near where I live. Supposedly, Chloe, a house slave, poisoned her master's children, and it is haunted now. Also, if you can, do a search on "King's Tavern" the oldest building in Natchez, MS.

I am interested in stories about hauntings, and I like to visit haunted places.

I don't know if it's so or not...I like to think that humans are snobs if they believe they are the only intelligent beings in this universe, though. Our senses may not tell us the whole story, eh?

3. I've heard about those
Myrtles is very famous. I like watching the webcams, like the one from Willard Library. I haven't gotten more than face like things at Willard yet. And I'm not one of those people who can stare at the cams for long periods of time. They say you'll have the most luck at the Willard cam from 10 PM - 3 AM.

10. One Thanksgiving
When we were getting ready to go to a friend's house, my husband was in the master bathroom, while I was brushing my hair in the hall bathroom with the door open.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a shadowy figure, about my husband's size, perhaps a little shorter, glide down the hall. Remembering something I wanted to tell my husband, I quickly followed him to the living room. No one was there. I went out to the entrance hall. No one there either and the door was locked. So too were the sliding glass doors in the living room. I shrugged, puzzled and went back into my bathroom.

And heard the water running in the master bath...

I went back and asked if he had been in the hall, but he'd never left the bathroom.

Just a couple of weeks ago, while working really hard outside getting some prep work done for replacing old siding and painting, I noticed off to the side a figure watching me. I quickly turned to the figure, but there was no one there. I am left with the image of a figure in light blue overalls holding a baseball cap in both hands...

I don't know who this person is, or why he/she is watching me, but I don't feel any threat. Might add, the house is only twenty-four years old and my husband is the original owner, so it is not likely that a former owner is checking out the current owners.

:hi: whoever you are

13. Interesting story
Sounds like the ghost could be attracted to whatever was on the property before your house.

12. Don't Ask A Ghost Rude Questions
Ghosts don't like to answer rude questions, like What are tonight's lottery numbers? If you're the sort that will abuse their presence that way, forget it. They'll never manifest themselves to you.

I haven't encountered a ghost in a while. Check that, I forgot about Dick, but he doesn't count. He didn't really die and he'll tell you that. But he's another one who doesn't like to be asked stupid questions about things that don't pertain to him. He also won't answer what his next port of call is.

There are places favored by ghosts. I can't tell you why they congregate there, but they do. The locals know these places, but they don't tell the tourists.
