Poll question: Just how vile is Kraft Mac 'n Cheese?
I tried it tonight because I needed something soft (damn root canal is still very tender). What do you think of Kraft Mac 'n Cheese?

1. didn't vote,
since I don't have it 3 times a week and it isn't that vile.
But my home made is better.

But sometimes, the blue box just hits the spot.

12. I made this wonderful M and C from scratch one time
with really good cheese and used a whisk and everything. And he hated it. boo-hoo. Hubby liked it, though.

Ugh! I had no idea it was so gross. Mom always made it with sharp cheddar -- maybe that's what I'm missing.

21. lol
I love homemade, but when you need it in a snap, you gotta go with it. It's just so easy and convenient.

We weren't well-to-do growing up... to me, it was a nice side dish for many meals. :-)

23. we were able to shop at the commissary on base
Cheaper than the civilian supermarkets, and no sales tax.

You think raising ME left a mother with much energy and time to make much from scratch? :D

If you grew up in a middle class family it was a staple.
With the Bush Economy........im glad i still like it.
We're moving towards more rice & beans, and I'd rather eat
mac & cheese.

Well, actually - it wasn't Kraft. It was a no-name store brand that was on sale a few montha ago. I got a crate of a dozen for $2! What a deal!

25. Ugh!
I'm actually making a "tagliatelle souffle" on Tuesday night for my girlfriend. Kind of like a really fancy mac and cheese. Tastes about 100 times better. Pair it with some Italian sausage and a mixed green salad. . .beats the snot out of Kraft.

26. Great bicycle trekking fare
Light to carry in bike bags. I always had a box for emergencies - say I couldn't get to a shop along the way. And when you're in the saddle all day, most anything tastes good.
