A sick, foggy, rainy GOOOOOD Morning to ya!
:donut: Endless supply of coffee and doughnuts this morning along with rain and sickness. How was everyone's weekend? Hopefully most of you got to rest and enjoy it! As for me, well, the cold thing or whatever it is has gotten worse and now add a sore throat to the mix. Joy. :eyes: Wake up and tell me how you are this AM!

1. I'm not sure if I'm up for good
It's quite early on the west coast. (Technically, I haven't been to bed, but I have slept...a little)

Feel better. I hate colds.

...I won't tell you how spectacular our weather has been. It would be mean for me to dwell on it, cruel even.

6. I never claimed to be normal
Far from it. I'm up for the duration. I was sick last week and screwed up my sleeping patterns.

I actually love the fog. Nothing compares to going on a foggy walk.

Well, my "aunt" on my mom's side ran over my grandmother, had my uncle beaten up, and came thisclose to selling her child for crack. ?

34. I'm not kidding
They did it for a few summers.

I'm not sure if your aunt is what I would call kooky. Scary.

My brother was mad at a teacher when he was in junior high. His plan - extortion. He and his buddy planned on threatening the teacher (hurting his kids) for money.

I typed the letter. I was seven. They told me it was for a "play" at school. What did I know? I was really bummed that I didn't get to testify at court. I hated being treated like a baby.

36. I don't think they really were going to harm the kids
They were just hoping for some quick cash.

My dad went out for ice cream and ended fighting in the Cuban Revolution. I've never received a good explanation on how that transpired. (He's not Cuban.)

46. I have suspicions that my dad was a spy
Like I said, details are hard to come by. He was in the Intelligence Corp in the Canadian Army.

My mom was a minor mafia princess. Like I said, my family is full of stories. I'm so boring my comparison.

51. Have a grandfather who made his money bootlegging during prohibition
I remember when some gangster character got gunned down when I was a teenager. My mom's comment, "He used to bounce me on his knee." I don't think Pop had anyone snuffed out or anything but family legend has it that he:

Bribed the Premier of the Province
Bribed the Attorney General of the Province
Paid off cops with liquor, regularly
Got tired of being chased by the US Coast Guard, so he hired them to take care of the transportation!

3. I'm looking at snow !!!!!
but I'm thinking sunshine ~ because winter is almost over.

I'm sorry about your cold. If you can buy some "grapefruit seed extract" and mix 15 drops of it with orange juice or grapefruit juice and drink that twice daily ~ you'll be feeling better soon. Of course if you have ANY problems with citrus disregard the last sentence.

Good morning to you, Blondie :donut:

It's beautiful this morning ~ all of the old snow had almost melted away ~ so the 4 inches of fresh snow that we already have is pristine.

You will find the grapefruit-seed oil in health-food stores or any place that carries alternative care products.

What the heck ... I may even froth up some milk and make it a latte.

I'm staying tucked in for the day with a good book or 3. It's a lovely day and {other peoples} kids will have fun playing outside in the snow instead of the mud of the recent thaw.

31. "Chainfire"
is a new book futuristic fantasy. It's starting out OK ~ which is a big plus. If it's really good there is an entire series that I'll be able to pick up and start at the beginning.

I just finished "Good in Bed" which was funny and defiantly a woman's book which is going to be made into a movie.

I should finish "American Evita" but the darned book has made me shake my head more than a few times. It paints Hillery and Bill in very unflattering shades.

40. it's about a BBW finding happiness
Cannie is a writer living in Philly. She falls in love and after a break in the relationship with her boyfriend - he starts writing a column for a magazine and the column is called "Good in Bed". The guy makes all men look clueless. Again - I was shaking my head - this time it was over his lack of sensitivity.

The book was both funny and sad. It's not going to - stop wars - but it may change the way the way people view what is really important in life.

4. Not much rest
My sister and brother-in-law were moving house. So I've been switching doors (or rather assisting in switching doors, I'm useless at D.I.Y. stuff), and cleaning.

The office is not heated over the week-end at all, so it's only just starting to get to a decent temperature (it being quarter to 12 here).

In my experience drinking tea aids sore-throats; tea actually contains a very powerful anti-septic. Hope you feel better quickly.

Weather here is mainly cold, there's a bit of snow floating around but nothing settling. I thoroughly second the motion for coffee and doughnuts.

Aren't you just the little nice helper? Hope the move wasn't too long and everything got done! And also hope your office continues to warm up soon. People in mine think that if it's 50 outside, it should be 40 in here. ?

Enjoy the snow and have a good day!

5. 10 cm (4") of fresh snow
I'm done with winter. I have to drive a fair bit today. The roads will be H, E, double hockey sticks.

More because of the people that the road conditions, but it will still make for a long day.

But I'm picking up a puppy today! His story and photos (assuming I can make the digital camera work) will be public knowledge tonight. He's a cutie.
