Anyone else NOT watching the Oscars tonight
I'm just not enthralled by the spectacle of celebrity anymore. Anyone else? If so what will you be doing tonight. Me I'll be hanging with you guys, as usual...:7

1. Count me in! Don't wanna see Clint or Hilary Swank win anyway!
I'll just be disgusted by the whole spectacle!

Light a fire. Drink a bit of the red. Cook up some salmon and have a great evening conversing. Screw the Oscars.

4. I would love to watch it...
...because of Chris Rock. However, I watch "The L Word" and "Carnivale" on Sunday nights.

11. I won't watch the Oscars but I won't bash the Oscars either
Some people are movie fans and I can see why they would watch the Oscars. I'm not a big movie fan so I won't be watching. Actually this year might be a good year to watch, just to see if Chris Rock says something off-color or "offensive".

12. Since January 20th, TV seems irrelevant and boring
next to life in the real world of Bush's unreal America. Been listening to Malloy most evenings. Discovered DU. Simpson's are on tonight! Haven't decided whether to attend local progressive Town Hall meeting tonight. If we aren't talking about the hijacked election, what the hell are we talking about? Ooooooh, NEXT time. Oh okay. More power to ya. We"ll the rain's coming and so' s the Spring. Real life beckons. New love. Politics may not be the answer.

13. I don't watch teevee at all, apart from
Formula 1 but that's a parallel universe for saddos like me. Other than watching vrooom vroom every two weeks during the racing season I NEVER watch the idiot box...ever. If it wasn't for F1 I wouldn't even have a TV in the first place. Celebrity? Vicarious lives are fine for those who don't have one of their own. As for what I'm doing tonight, I'm sorting out some paperwork whilst keeping an eye on the DU posts. Hmmm...maybe DU is a TV substitute...maybe I need to stop spending so much time here. Nah, I love this place! regards Longgrain

....I have this DVD I have been meaning to watch but haven't got around to watching it. "Warriors of Heavan and Earth" It's a foreign film, filmed in Mandarin and has both English-subtitled original language and English voiceover versions on the DVD. I'd watch the Oscars if I cared about who won or there was some performace I wanted to see. To be honest I don't even know/care who/what's nominated. Heyo

20. I can't stand Chris Rock. I have no idea why but there's.....
..something about the Guy that just makes me want to turn the channel. I don't find him funny or watchable.
