Albert Einstein Quotes

He who joyfully marches to music rank and file, has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice.

A human being is a part of a whole, called by us 'universe', a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest... a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.

Sign hanging in Einstein's office at Princeton:
Not everything that counts can be counted, and not everything that can be counted counts.

Albert Einstein
Imagination is more important than knowledge.

3.  Never do anything against conscience, even if the state demands it.
Once you can accept the universe as matter expanding into nothing that is something, wearing stripes with plaid comes easy.

If A equals success, then the formula is: A=X+Y+Z. X is work. Y is play. Z is keep your mouth shut.

I never think of the future; it comes soon enough.

4. another: "We must inoculate our children against militarism, .......
by educating them in the spirit of pacifism... Our schoolbooks glorify war and conceal its horrors. They indoctrinate children with hatred. I would teach peace rather than war, love rather than hate." - Albert Einstein

5. He's one of my favorite people of all time.
As a physics teacher, there are obvious reasons I'd admire Einstein. But also, his philisophical/political thoughts are awesome!
