6. I got hurt to early in life to join the military
But I would have gone if, I had not been hurt. Was not smart like my sister so could not get a scholarship. So that was one way to pay for college.

but it's late so we'll never make it, let's camp here for the night. I'll send out patrols hourly and set up outposts in strategic areas around camp. Make sure to set up a flanking position.

you better watch the east flank, there are reports of enemy divisions out there and they may probe our lines. Make sure F company hasn't formed a damned salient again, we can't afford another bloody attack from three sides.

No that is right.

One of the best stories is, a paratrooper was watching the gliders come into Normandy and one just missed hitting him. He heard someone in the hedge row next to him and he said "FLASH", and the person on the other side said "Flash your ass, I am getting out of here. They are killing us out here" He let him go cause only an American could have given that answer.

20. Have you read the book.
Has some great stories on top of what is on the film. and it was an Easy company tradition, getting shot in the ass.

i love it. the stories of their encounters and miscommunication the night of June 5th is pretty funny and its a suprise they didn't kill eachother because of getting their signals mixed up.
