1. They don't give enough money from each box back to the troop, which
is why they don't get my money. Okay, well maybe one box of thin mints. :hi:

7. The little beasts don't call them "Samoas" anymore, they tried to
throw us off the track by renaming them to "Caramel deLites".

I'm on to their game though.

13. What a brilliant idea?
I never would have thought of freezing boxed cookies of any kind.

Hmmmmmm…where's that Girl Scout?

19. They are delicious
right out of the freezer. The only problem I have is once the box is opened the cookies disappear pretty fast. Its an exercise in self discipline, which I fail on a monthly basis. The thin mints are the only ones I freeze and I think they are exceptionally good ice cold.

22. I'd always freeze at least one box of thin mints....
then get them out in September for my birthday. Very difficult to leave them there that long. I agree with you, they are even yummier frozen.

4. Interstate Baking
My hometown - Sioux City - just got another 250 good paying Union jobs in the metro area thanks to girl scout cookies. That is where they are made. So eat up, even if all the money doesnt go to the girl scouts, they also pay Union wages in making them.

14. Well, they're not supposed to do this but…
…some Girl Scout troops were for a time selling their cookies on the Internet. (Does that sound kinky, or what?) That was before the Girl Scout national leadership cracked down on the practice.

Now the best you'll find is phone numbers on the websites where you can call if a Girl Scout hasn't visited you to solicit your cookie order.

BUT -- if you truly must have Girl Scout Thin Mint Cookies, there are three ways to go about it:

Buy from www.ebay.com -- there are almost always lots for sale, including most varieties.
Buy a substitute: Keebler's Grasshopper Fudge Cookies
Make 'em yourself from a copycat recipe: http://www.topsecretrecipes.com/recipes/thinmint.htm
