1. UMMM, and your point is?
MI's are VERY bad events...I'm betting you already know that! I do hope you're not having one...

6. I've always enjoyed those automatic EKG reports.
For those not in the know, if the computer on most EKG machines that gives a preliminary read senses the possibility of an acute heart attack, it starts the report with the line
************** ACUTE MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION **************

It's like when the scoreboard lights up after a home run. When you get your MI, take one home as a souvenier.

It's also hell trying to convince people who don't know how to read EKG's, including about half of all doctors, that there really isn't one going on when the thing miscalls it.

7. My husband had a 12-lead EKG done once,
And it indeed said that he'd had an MI in the past. His cardiologist fully explored it and said the EKG was plain wrong! But my husband was still denied private insurance because of it...Phooey!

:argh:

10. My husband's too
My husband had an EKG done about a year ago and it said myocardial infarction age unknown. I forced him to have a battery of tests after that; an ECHO, stress test, full physical etc. He still doesn't know what his EKG said and thinks I'm nuts (was over doing it).
