It is sad, because German is similar to English (and is the ancestor of English as well)

I do not know why, but I have never been able to undertsnad foreign languages. And I come from a bi-lingual family. My mother's whole family is from Russia and they speak a lot of russian to each other. I can only say a few words and phrases.
