5. I hope so
I also wish there was some way (civil suits?) for normal employees to recoup money from the scumbag CEO's like Ebbers, Lay, Koszlowski, etc. From what I have heard, many times the employees had restricted stock, which made it hard to diversify.

8. The money (most of it) is probably stashed safely in the Caymans
or offshore somewhere.. Poeople like this plan ahead... waaaay ahead. He may go to jail, but his family's fortunes are secure..

A more fitting punishment for these people would be to make them exist on only what foodstamps & minimum wage would buy..
Give them a bus pass, plop them down in a single-wide in say..Ardmore OK and make them load boxes at a warehouse for 8 hrs a day....

2. Well there's one good reason to begin impeachment proceedings
To stop Bush from giving crooks presidential pardons which will in turn have the effect of sending a message to everyone that you can get away with white collar crime if you give enough political donations to the right person.

4. Good thinkin!
If only the reTHUGlicans weren't in charge. I doubt you could scratch up enough ethics to get a library fine paid among that crowd, let alone punish an evil, evil fucktard.

6. I've never heard that Ebbers had a partner in the WH.
Are you thinking of Kenny Boy?

7. Dur.
Yeah... but really all corporate criminals are partners with every rethuglican that accepts that kind of crap as acceptable. And we all know dubya did the same crap with ... what company was it? Anyway, the're partners in crime even if they don't call each other pet names.

9. In general, I think you are correct. However, Ebbers was a bit
of an outsider, just as Martha Stewart was. Regarding Key Lay, he's the guiltiest of all but will never spend one day in prison. Enron was very involved with the CIA. The govt. can't afford to prosecute him for fear that he might "spill the beans". He is a prime candidate to get "suicided"

Bush was involved with Harken, doing all sorts of illegal maneuvers to benefit HIMSELF, under poppa's protection.
