I'm watching "Conspiracy". About the Wannasee Conference.
Wow! A shocking account of the meeting in 1942 that casusally determined the fate of millions of Jews in Europe.
Kenneth Branaugh as Richard Heydrich and Stanley Tucci as Adolph Eichman.
Its on HBO in case you havent allready seen it.

1. a terrific film.
saw it when it was on before.
great acting, sets, clothing.
very authentic
and totally chilling.
my god, i'm horrified just thinking about it now.
so damn businesslike. discussing the murder of millions like they were talking over corn crops or production of coal.
god almighty.

3. And all the casual sarcasm and joking.
I wonder if it was really like that.

4. I believe it is.
it was based on personal accounts of the participants who were alive at the end of the war.

it was carefully planned to lead the industrialists/moneyed participants inexorably into a conspiracy from which they could not free themselves....

now that i think of it....i'll have to google this later, but I think the participants were ordered to destroy their copies of the proposal along with their notes....but one set was taken intact by the allies.

5. maybe
There was no transcript of the Wannsee conference, the BBC docudramas are more dramatizations than documentaries.
However, they do use the the little historic evidence there is - it might have been like that, quite likely actually.

6. Litterally, a shocking film
What makes it worse is the complete calmness which Branaugh maintains throughout.

Lest we forget.
