Yes, it CAN happen. And yes it DOES hurt.

1. You open up envelopes with your tongue?
Seems like an odd technique to me.

3. In America you can sue about anything
In Canada, you just have to settle for a free trip to the doctor.

Paycheque. Do you live in the dark ages? Direct deposit, man.

6. at least you could FIND a bank machine ...
The CIBC (which I have started calling "The World's Stupidest Bank (tm)") -- as of last month, removed all its on-campus ATMs from the local university, which has at least 2,000 employees and more than 15,000 students. Now, with a captive audience of that size, you would think that they would seize the chance (and the University of Guelph, among others, actually has on-campus bank branches to snare potential customers). But no!

And they almost always are out of spare bankbook pages, and they even run out of deposit envelopes too, at other places in town. Plus the fact that they accidentally erased one month of my deposit/withdrawal records last year when their computer had "issues". One would think that an institution making a billion dollars a year of profits would sink a bit into better hard drives and maybe a person to do backups here and there, but I guess not.

I figured if I'm going to have to take the bus to do my banking, I might as well pick VanCity.
