People who (sometimes intentionally) misspell high profile people's names. I'm not going to mention any specifics, but if a person sees a name in the news ten billion times a day, one would think that person would spell the name correctly when referencing him/her.
Far too many pet peeves on this subject to mention them all. But, here are a few:
* reckless and fast driving in the parking lot * unruly and unsupervised children (especially ones pushing those damned kiddie carts) * folks who jump in line at the meat / fish counter * people who obliviously clog the aisles with their carts while gossiping with a friend * kids who taste the "samples" and then toss their used toothpicks with the fresh ones. (I chided a child for doing this last week! The parent was nowhere in sight) * folks with colds or the flu who sneeze or cough while handling all of the produce. (I've seen this happen a lot!)
10. America's fascination with people who are considered famous

but really haven't done anything to be famous. Like why do I know that Nicky or Paris Hilton exist? Why is Ann Kournikova famous when she has never won a major tennis match in her life.
