They always called the White House Camelot because of the Kennedys and lets face it - the Kennedys made the place special during Jack's 3 years as president.

So what term can we give the Bush White house term? I was thinking "Hell on Earth" but does anyone else have a better suggestion?

4. Mordor
Or "Mordor on the Potomac"

Who coined that one? Was it Morford or Krugman? Ivins? I don't remember, but it's the most suitable.

27. Yes, unfortunately Tolkien turns out to be a prophet
Edited on Thu Oct-16-03 04:10 PM by moof
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.
One Ring to rule them all. One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.
-J.R.R. Tolkien

Did Tolkien mean for the phrase " where the shadows lie " to have the double meaning of saying that the shadows were liars ?

very disturbing

9. You do know that in the darkest depths of Mordor u can meet a girl so fair
Gotta love Led Zeppelin (Ramble On)

RAMBLE ON

The leaves are falling all around
Time I was on my way
Thanks to you, I'm much obliged
For such a pleasant stay

But now it's time for me t' go
The autumn moon lights my way
But now I smell the rain
And with it pain
And it's headed my way
Ah, sometimes I grow so tired
But I know I've got one thing I've got to do

Ramble on
Now's the time, the time is now
Sing my song
I'm goin' 'round the world
I got to find my girl
On my way
I've been this way ten years to the day
Ramble on
I gotta find the queen of all my dreams

Got no time to spendin' grief
The time has come to be gone
And tho' our health we drank a thousand times
It's time to ramble on

(Synth Flute)

A-ramble on
Now's the ttime, the time is now
Sing my song
I'm goin' 'round the world
I got to find my girl
On my way
I've been this way ten years to the day
I gotta ramble on
I gotta find the queen of all my dreams

(Guitar Interlude)
I ain't takin' no ride

Mine's a tale that can't be told
My freedom I hold dear
How years ago in days of old
When magic filled the air
T'was in the darkest depths of Mordor
I met a girl so fair
But Gollum, and the evil one crept up
And slipped away with her her
Her her, her a-yeah
An' ain't nothing I can do, now
I guess I'll keep on

Ramblin', I'm gonna shake
Sing my song, I'm gonna find my baby
I'm gonna ramble on
Sing my song, work my way, goin' 'round the world

Ramble on
Ah doo doo doo doo doo, my baby
Ah doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo
doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo
Yeah, I gotta keep searchin' for my baby
Yeah, I gotta keep a-searchin' for my baby
Share, yeah yeah yeah yeah, ah yeah
Yeah (X11)
I can't find my blue girl
I listen to my blue girl
I listen to my blue girl Baby baby, yeah
Baby, oh no no no no, baby
I can't stop this feeling in in my heart, baby
When I think about when we get to part
Baby (X9)
My my my my my my baby
My my my my my my my baby
Ooh, my my my
My my my my my my my my
A-my my my my

I think it would be more appropriate to call it Isengard on the potomac, I think in the end * will be shown to be just a bad natured jerk that managed to bully a lot of people to fall in line behind him.

41. I like Isengard WAY better than Mordor
Mordor, as another poster mentioned, gives too much credit to the AssholeInChief. he's much more of the hubris-filled poorly thinking thug that is Saruman than the clever, powerful Sauron.

Mordor, in this day and time, might very well be Kennebunkport.

Sauron is the one behind the scense, so that could be Bush Sr., or maybe even someone above/behind him we don't even know of, perhaps a bin Laden, maybe someone in Germany or Switzerland, or even someone else here in the US.

Like we're all suffering for maybe slacking off in the 90's instead of being active and getting more involved in campaigns. I mean, Clinton was in office how bad was it going to get??!!!

But like pergatory if you pay the pentence you'll eventually make it to paradise. So we're paying a hefty pentence but hopefully in 2004:
