I really have to say that, for families, Shelties are a great choice. They are not so big as to disrupt a household. Sturdy enough to tumble around with. Excellent "other mothers" (Jessie is really protective of the kids). Great cuddlers and just beautiful to look at. Plus, she is really, really smart. She can hear MrG's truck coming down the street long before I do. She remembers everything. When it rains out, she comes in, sits and raises each paw for me to wipe off. Heehee. I'm in Athens, GA. It's cold and grey here today. I'm tired from a week of work and caring for 22 horses every evening. My friend, who owns the farm where I board my horse, had emergency surgery on Tuesday, so I and a friend have taken the day and evening feeding duties. Whoo boy, I'm wiped out!

My husband's band is playing a gig at the local Harley cycle dealership today.
