I still love the X Files and wish it was still
on. Imagine the wealth of good episodes they could have just culling from the current administration.

I really miss this show. Glad I have the DVDs up to season 7.

3. I bought the LG DVD set and love it.
The pilot episode is creepy though in a post 9/11 world.

I wish Fox had stayed with the series and allowed it to develop a following. I don't think the X Files were popular right out of the shoot.

2. I loved the episode about the inbreeders, and mama lived under a bed
on a creeper. That particular episode was not shown in many markets around the country.

4. I loved when their episodes were mostly free-standing...
in other words where they investigated one case per episode and didn't have all of the mythology and back story bullshit. That garbage was for the birds.

5. 'Sapphire and Steel' (1980) and season 7 of 'Doctor Who' (1970) have the
same feel to them. Definitely worth checking out too. Especially "Sapphire and Steel" if you're tired of a government backdrop setting (which Dr Who season 7 also falls victim to, but at least the Doctor is anti-establishment, fortunately!!)
