Do you post more in the Lounge or the rest of DU?

I just checked my recent posts, and I was taken aback to see they were all Lounge postings. I used to never post in the Lounge, but over time I just gradually shifted away from LBN and the GDs, and now I seem to be a full-time resident.

Is anybody else the same way? If so (or not), then for what reason? Personally, I think I'm just fed up with the humorless and nasty bickering over the slightest things. Guys, just because the world's collapsing around us doesn't mean we can't laugh in the face of the mushroom clouds.

I can get my seriousness out of life. I joined this forum so I could get to know people who mostly share my personal politics. I don't really need to discuss them.

2. Lounge for ever!

Also a tad in U.K. and in G.L.B.T. - ocassionally in Religion.

I came across the Lounge first, and it (and its denizens) kick arse so much that there was no point in going elsewhere. Also, when I kept hearing of the flame-wars from G.D. I did have to wonder what the point was.

B.T.W. I couldn't agree more about laughing in the face of mushroom clouds - go down fighting, but more important go down laughing.

4. I post in other places as well, but mostly the Lounge

I post in GD, Canadian Forum and ATA fairly regularly. (I must post something silly in ATA at least once per week.)

I posted in GD more prior to the election, but I couldn't take the tone right after.

I read LBN everyday, but GD and GD;P are the bulletin-board evquivelant of Maury and Jerry Springer to me.

To me The Lounge is ......well, a lounge. You can be a serious or as silly as you want to be here, and (mostly) it's live-and-let-live.

I like this much better.

6. I do it because I can party in the lounge.

Elsewhere is sort of serious and highbrow. I can go there from time to time, but then I need to party and quip and try to make a funny every now and again. The Lounge is the underground of the DU. The Underground's underground...Swanky. B-)

7. The lounge is it for me!

When I first started posting on DU, I was over in GD and like that; the Lounge never entered my head. And then, one fateful day, I came to take a look...AND I never left! (well, almost never) It is great here. I am at HOME!

it's mostly in the lounge. Its far less threatening here. I do lurk a whole lot in GD though.

I post in the Lounge often enough, but i doubt it's mostly. I post a lot in GD, and in some of the groups.

Might be 30% Lounge, though. Not really sure. I just don't think it's the majority.
