3. I saw them at the Chicago auto show.

They were close to the army recruiter station. Very appropriate. I commented loudly near the crowd around the recruiter how much they needed people to go die in Iraq to get more oil for the gas gusling hummers.

That photo is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. Although it does expose the lie that people want these things for off-road use or other practical reasons.

17. And here in the UK...

...they can be had for as little as US $6000 for one in decent condition (sans safari gear) as opposed to $45,000 in the US for anything newer than a series III. I'd buy one, but I live in Cambridge where parking is awful, so I'll probably end up with a Discovery or something more reasonable.

Keep in mind that these are all deisels over here, and can easily achieve 25-30MPG
