Youths arrested in Burnaby muggings
Wednesday, April 13, 2005

The Burnaby RCMP has arrested three youths suspected in a violent mugging spree.

The boys, an 11-year-old and twin 13-year-old brothers were captured during a violent robbery on Friday night.

The pre-teen was released into the custody of his parents because of his age while the twins were locked up at a youth detention centre.

The brothers appeared in court on Monday and are facing several criminal charges.

Shouldn't these kids be playing kick the can or something.

1. Can't say
I am to comfortable with sending the 11yr old home with his parents.
I don't know to much about the spree, but I get the feeling they (parents) were not on the watch to well with this kid.I could be wrong.
Maybe a group or foster home would be better.

What could possible be in the mind of an 11 yr old that they would act this way?

3. Some US kids that age know the difference between the sound of a .357
Magnum versus a .38 Special. These kids grew up keeping their heads below the window, too. A lot of US kids are strapped at that age-the great equalizer, you know.

4. Teach the Public with examples of what happens to kids going astray
Send them with parents and friends to Tahiti, Austrailia, and Asia for an extended trip for 3 years. They will come back mature, eager to resume work and education.

Then, after 3 years, send them to Europe and the Middle East. At the end of the Ninth year, the effort should have the desired effect of
taking the kids from one level to the next where they are good law abiding citizens...

Two trips in nine years will give these boys a wonderful education to learn of differing cultures and levels of status. They will soon discover they have been on the wrong side of things and the best way to go up the social ladder is to conform with existing codes/laws, and educate thenselves.

That is all.
