I am now afraid of the Burger King
He keeps popping up randomly, giving away sandwiches. He always has the same "happy" Laura Bush Xanax smile. Would YOU take a sandwich from some grinning nut waiting for you to raise your window blinds? I think not. Thank you.

4. I'm amused and creeped out at the same time
The "Wake up with the Burger King" commercial was histerical.

I thought it was fake, then I found out that it was real and laughed twice as hard.

Can't stand to look at him. Who the hell came up with that marketing strategy anyway?

12. Whoever came up with that ad campaign is a genius
We're talking about it on a political message board. Everyone's talking about it, even outside of cyberspace. Very effective ads IMO.

34. Neither have I, but I've talked about it with friends
and maybe they have. If they get one new customer out of 10 who saw the ad, it's a success.

I think Du'ers are fairly immune to commercial advertising. I can't remember the last time I bought something because I saw it on a commercial.

5. I'm afraid of him too
I've actually been afraid of him for a long time.

I recently saw the 1979 version of I Love the '70s on VH1, with the "Let's disco down to Burger King" ad, and that freaked me out as a kid. :D

9. We saw him again last night and had to ask ourselves:
Who is Burger King trying appeal to? The new Burger King is like out of a David Lynch movie! I mean, I think it's funny as hell, but the majority of the world doesn't think the way I do, or so..I..thought!
Do you think marketing has finally figured me out? I mean, I'm weird as hell. I love that new Burger King. What does that say about me. I think the commercial that looks like Hee Haw is LOL funny! Sick-funny, y'know what I mean?
 now, that doesn't mean I want to eat one of their sandwiches, but I DO like those weird commercials.

11. The Burger King
is hilarious. About time we got to see what he looked like. He's a bit Joker-esque, yes, but he's a monarch. They can afford to be eccentric.

19. Giving away sandwiches that will kill you!!!!
That new breakfast sandwich should be called the Clogged Artery Special with all the egg & fat in it. And yet there he is - happily standing outside your bedroom window offering you this disgusting killer sandwich. Hell, he should be offering cyanide pills!

Whew.

The first time I saw the commercial where he raises the blinds and there he is with that heart attack on a bun, I told my husband "MY GOD, that's creepier than SHIT!"

:scared:

I really, really, really don't like it. And the marketing doesn't work on us, because we never go there anyway.

Ick.

35. He is EXTREMELY creepy.
The fact that his face is motionless and silent makes it all the worse. I'd be terrified if he came to my door.

Funny, but Jack from Jack in the Box isn't so scary...
