Favorite Cowboy Lefty
There's lots, and its hard to choose - I mean you have Jim Hightower, Steve Earle, Natalie Maines, Molly Ivins, Jimmy Buffett, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard...etc

The list goes on...in fact some might argue that real cowboys ARE lefties. But I digress...

So who's YOUR favorite?

Right now Jimmy Buffett comes to mind...all the others make powerful statements, but Jimmy just puts you in the RIGHT mood ya know?

8. It's ironic...
Edited on Sun May-01-05 02:35 AM by regnaD kciN
...that Merle Haggard's now in that list, considering that, back in the '70s, he was the poster boy for establishing country-western as the music for right-wing "patriots"...sort of the Toby Keith of his day.

back in the days of vaqueros amongst the rancheros of Mexican California...but I always thought Zorro was a liberal for his time...

14. Pop Wagner!
Minnesota musician who does cowboy songs and rope tricks.

You probably never heard of him if you're not from Minnesota.

Anyhow, he gets involved in rallies and such.
