Sock,shoe,sock,shoe OR sock,sock,shoe,shoe?
Which are you?

Remember the Archie and Meathead argument about this?I think Archie was sock,shoe,sock,shoe----as am I.Does that mean I'm a conservative?

1. See, I'm sock, sock, shoe, shoe.
If I'm not mistaken, the theory behind sock, shoe, sock, shoe was that if you didn't have time to complete the process, you'd at least be able to hop around on one foot. :)

2. Sock, sock, shoe, shoe.
You put both of your socks on. Then, if you are doing shoes, you put both shoes on.

It would seem odd to me to have one foot socked-and-shod while the other was just bare and didn't even have a sock on yet.

The best is in the summer when one can wear sandals and eliminate the sock issue altogether.

16. you misremember
Archie was sock, sock, shoe, shoe. Meathead said, what if there is a fire and you have to run out of the building when you are half finished. Your socks are gonna get wet, but my way you can hop around on one foot and stay dry.

I am pretty sure I am sock, sock, shoe, shoe, because I have to walk around the house for about five minutes trying to find where the fudge I left my fricking shoes.

25. no socks, no shoes
but for formalities, like legal-wear, it's:

in winter - slip-on, slip-on. no socks. it has to be REALLY cold for me to put on socks.

in summer - it's flip-flop, flip-flop.

and ALWAYS right, left.

Archie thought Mike was just so weird.

Me, I do sock sock shoe shoe, but that's because my socks are in my bedroom and my shoes are usually on the shoe/boot tray in the foyer.

29. It depends
Most of the time it's flip flops so no socks, just shoe shoe. (The owner of the dealership where I worked saw my flip flops today, and I just said "I'm sitting at a desk, no one sees my feet" and he was cool with it).

If I'm at home putting on my proper work shoes, it's sock sock shoe shoe.

If I'm being lazy and wearing the flip flops to the car and putting on my proper work shoes in the car in the parking lot right as I arrive at work, it's sock shoe sock shoe.
