Poll question: Michigan residents - 'Michiganian' or 'Michigander?'
This stems from a debate in GD.

Which do you like better?

4. I think I know what you might be talking about
As part of their tribute to the 2000 Olympics, CNBC had a reporter in Asia discussing the markets. One day, I saw him allude to the US auto industry, and he talked about 'Michiganites.' Why I remember that, I have not a clue.

3. I've only been here since 1995
and I hear gander more often than I hear ganian. I like the way gander sounds, but then I am a birdlover.

Some natives of this state (!) get very sensitive about this subject, though.

10. As an ex-MichiGANDER living in Texas
I lived my first 20 years in Michigan, and always liked the sound of Michigander.

13. Your Governor ROCKS!!!
Ours is a good-haired lackey of Tom DeLay -- in other words, a disgrace. I love Texas ... I just hate the majority of our politicians! (Luckily the Mayor of Dallas is a Dem!!)
