13. I 'whored' myself for 8th row Van Halen tickets 18 or so yrs ago.
Fortunately he was an EE major who was so in awe of the fact that I went to the concert w/ him that he made NO MOVES AT ALL. He was actually a really cool guy, and he ended up finding an AG major that he married 2 months before graduation.... They are still together.

15. EE is environmental engineering?
Sorry, but I can't imagine Van Halen being worth your body at any time in their career. They just aren't that good. hehe

He was a big time puppy dog w/a big time crush that had been ongoing for a year. No bark, no bite.

22. 18 or so years ago? That's impossible, since Van Halen broke up in 1985?
Please tell me you didn't whore yourself out for Van Hagar tickets :(

24. Hagar is a Republican?
No way! I really don't like the whole band anyway, but it would still be sad if he was GOP.

7. Are you from Chi-town?
I map-quested and it should only take me about 4 hours....my friend has been downloading music to her iPOD, so we're gonna rock the whole way there.

10. For now I am.
That's cool! I still don't have their newest album but my friend does. This will be my second time seeing them. I saw them on the popmart tour and it is still tied for one of the best shows I've ever seen.
That's a long drive. Are you spending the night in Chicago?

19. I never know where to go downtown.
I live in a South side Irish neighborhood so I usually go to south side bars or go to the north side where most of the young single people are. We may end up going someplace in Hyde Park near the University of Chicago like Woodlawn Tap or Lucky Strike.
I'll have to ask my roommate sometime. He knows Chicago better than I do. I haven't lived here very long.

21. I've been to Chicago quite a few times
but I've never really hit the bars there-usually I've been there just to hit all of the art museums. Our hotel is somewhere on Michigan Ave-I think-wherever that is...regardless, I'm totally stoked, this will be my first time seeing U2!

23. Nice.
Hotels downtown on Michigan Ave are not exactly cheap. You might be staying in a nicer room than I will be in at my apartment. I've been to bars downtown, but nothing I'd go crazy over. If the show doesn't get out too late you could swing by Buddy Guy's blues club for a Chicago Blues experience. I think they still have bands every night of the week. Its a cool spot either way.

I'm gonna be so pumped after the concert-there's no WAY I'll want to go to the hotel and sleep! Yikes about the expensiveness though! My friend made the reservation, I told her to find somewhere cheap-I'm poor as hell right now! Maybe I'll be sleeping in the park under a tree somewhere instead?
