Yep, I'm talking about the MBA students again.

My boss gave them a self-scheduled final exam. He announced the dates that the exam would be available for download and what day/time the upload for responses would close. (The students have any 4 hours within that time frame (5/4 at 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on 5/9) to take the exam.)

The MBA office posted the exam schedule on the exam page.

I posted the exam schedule on the assignments page for their course.

So, all exams are supposed to be in by 12:30 today.

I just got a call from a student who says that he just downloaded the exam, and if he takes 4 hours to take it, he'll be late.

My response: "yep, you're going to be late. The exam has been available for 5 days."

He wants to know what happens if he's late.

"Well, I'm going to print out your exam, and mark it late. What Prof. XXXX decides to do with that information is up to him."

Personally, I hope my boss fails his ass. But that's me.

1. My best friend's stepfather is a college business professor

(and a liberal but that's not the point). He deals w/ this kind of laziness all the time. Lately the students have been making threats (along the lines of "You don't want my Dad to stop making donations because of you, do you?").
Whatever happened to the personal responsibility that all the pukes preach every day?
