serious question: Why don't men shave their armpits?
I cannot imagine applying deodorant to a wad of hair. :o

1. Actually, it's a man-only secret, but like women's eyebrows,
we do in fact shave our armpits, and then draw the hair back in.

but shhhhhhhhhhhh, don't let any other women know.

3. LOL those drawn-on eyebrows
what IS that all about? Always gives them a permanent look of surprise. :o

6. I don't get the drawn on eyebrows, either
never have.

Thank god I found a woman who doesn't feel the need to shave her pits, or her legs, or remove parts of her body and then draw them back in. She also doesn't like diamonds or gold, which makes her perfect in my book. :-)

9. I don't like any jewelry either
and since I'm blonde I don't have to shave my legs often. But, I like deodorant on clean pits! :D

2. Because sniffing and licking them is great foreplay, silly.
Oh...oh I just went too far that time, I'm no good at being subtle. *said in Stewie Griffin voice*

4. Because arm pit hair is manly
Seriously, I have no clue. Some men probably do. Personally, I don't want to shave anything I don't have to. The only reason I shave my face is because I do not have a thick enough beard for it to look good.

8. Why would I?...
It would be such a hassle.

And then there is the cultural thing going on. I would ask rather why do women shave their underarms?

Bothersome.

Worry about stubble; worry about razor burn;

Deodorant on hair? Not much different than shampoo on the scalp.

So you are saying that you decided to start shaving your underarms because of the deodorant thing rather than being taught to do it?

JUST a little... sadly, most don't bother to cut it down. In fact, I usually forget to trim it too :P

looks better, feels better, deodorant works better. Believe me I don't do it for cultural reasons; I have always done what I want. :)

21. Actually shaved underarms have a stronger unpleasant odor than unshaven
Edited on Sun May-15-05 01:48 AM by ReadTomPaine
This is because hair acts to keep the area exposed to air, so bacteria don't multiply and those that do aren't as ripe smelling since they aren't anaerobic. It's like the difference between taking off canvas and leather boots. Since the canvas boots breathe, they won't make people pass out at 30 paces when you take them off after a long Texas day, like the leather ones might ;)

Your mileage, like your personal body chemistry, may vary.

22. I shave my face. That's all I shave, and I don't shave it every day.
As for deodorant, since I go swimming every day, I don't get that stinky, and I'd rather not smell like deodorant. I prefer unshaven, natural smelling women, as long as they bathe every day.
