6. Hi, Goldmund,
What I mean is: I told Longgrain that I wanted to buy his painting. He set a price and gave me his address. I sent the check, and then, he sent the painting...He has integrity. We trusted each other to do this, all online...Of course, I have integrity too. But he kept his word; that's what I REALLY mean...Does that help?

36. No,not being sarcastic. I would especially not be so
with you, of all people.

I really did mean that DUers tend to be good people. Even the ones I've had some vicious fights with on specific subjects generally turn out to be OK folks when discussing other subjects of mutual interest.

Kind of like people in general, yes?

24. Hi there, Maestro!
Thanks for stopping by...Yes, I agree, Longgrain does good work. And this is one of his early pieces, I think...I'd like to see some more mature stuff!

This is going in my study, where I am right now...I don't know if you saw my earlier thread about my daughter's painting...But that one is in the space over my window seat. As soon as I get a frame for my newest acquisition, then that will go where my daughters' painting is now: over the window seat. I will be able to look at it every time I'm online, which is a lot, these days!

I do however have a thread up in the Marketplace Forum here at DU.

I don't know which is more beautiful, you or the painting. Ever since you began posting pics of yourself and made those wild "Wuthering Heights" disclosures about yourself, I'd have to say it's YOU!

I wanna be you when I grow up.

Much love,

"Wuthering Heights" disclosures? Whatever do you mean? Please PM me, if you would!

And BTW, you are grown up, already...And you are a lovely, charming, and intelligent lady in your own right. I do understand your compliment, however, and I accept it...Thank you so much, my dear.

23. That's great
I asked Longgrain a while ago if he sold his paintings. I think he is pretty talented, and I would considering buying his work.
I have always loved artists and have collected many pieces form friends since I was a teen.
You look great in that pic too, and the painting looks like a great piece that is going to look good on your wall somewhere.

I feel very lucky to have this wonderful work! Right after I told Longgrain that I wanted it, someone else came along, lusting for it also; Longgrain told that person that someone else (me) had already gotten it. Right time in the right place!

I appreciate your kind words on me, and the painting. I will gaze on it till the end of my life...It will go in my study, over my window seat...see an earlier post here for a fuller description!

I was really impressed when he did that. He had told me that part of the profit would go to DU, but I'd thought that he meant just a simple donation...But giving someone a star is truly generous!

And I thank you for the personal compliment, too! Nice to hear that I'm not entirely over the hill! (Just mostly, lol) And yes, the painting is very nice...I'm so freakin' lucky, I tell you!

I try to be nice to people...I want them to be nice to me, also. In person, I can be less nice, however! It depends...I tend to think out loud in person, and that doesn't always work too well. Online, I have time to consider what I'm saying, and this is a GOOD thing! I also appreciate your comments on how I look...I'm extremely touched by your remarks!

As for my sig line, well, thank you again! It is an important part of me..I don't always live up to it, lol, but NORMALLY I try to! Sometimes, I do have a *potty* mouth, though! I'm glad you enjoy my posts...I've always had low self-esteem, and having people like me makes my day!
