3. I don't have a lot of vacation days built up so
I will probably take a day here and there and have long weekends. Don't know what I will do with them.

Spring...work

4. Santiago de Compostela
Edited on Thu May-19-05 07:40 PM by TorchesAndPitchforks
in Galicia, Spain-- the endpoint of the camino de Santiago Christian pilgrimmage route. The bones of the Apostle St. James are supposedly in the Cathedral there-- well, except for his skull, which is in Rome.

I plan to drink cafes con leche al fresco in the cafes and pig out on excellent seafood. Then I plan to roam the lush green valleys of Celtic Spain.

St James the Moor-killer.

6. Ride Metro into DC
and blow sad farewell kiss to Constitution; wipe tears from Lincoln's face on his monument, ditto FDR's; stare miserably at Vietnam Memorial and ask myself if people will ever learn from past mistakes; flip the bird at the White House; ride Metro back to Maryland and go home to light a candle in memory of democracy.

Wish we could afford to visit my cousins in Estonia

8. If all goes to plan...
Invading my parents in Montreal and taking in a few shows at the Montreal Jazz Festival. And drinking with my sister. And mooching ;). And sleeping late. For 10 days or so, end of June/early July.
