Last night, me and some coworkers went out for a few drinks after work. I had a good time, but boy, am I paying for it today. :-(

Here's the advice: don't mix Guinesses, Stella Atrois', Maker's Mark on the rocks and martinis. NOT a great combo.

Its a wonder you're breathing! Martinis are mean to me :scared: and that is some serious mixing of alcohols. Just be glad you're able and willing to communicate today and remember...This too shall pass....

I think I got a cab...or someone got one for me. Blondie, I won't be doing that again soon. :scared:

5. May I add to your advice?
Never, under any circumstances, mix screwdrivers and cheap keg beer!

The hangover from that one lasted two days.:puke:

I hope you feel better soon, terrya!

6. one thing that causes hangovers is dehydration...
because alcohol is a diuretic so be sure to drink plenty of water BEFORE you go drinking.Works for me!

:hangover: I had four Sierra Nevada Pale Ales last night, and I'm paying for it. I've become a lightweight in my old age.

21. Well, you are, how should we say, "compact,"
I easily equal 2 1/2 of you. The alcohol should have father to travel in the bloodstream. :)

22. I always was more of a "2-3 beers and I get really silly"
kind of person.

I did not inherit the tolerance of my Irish or German forebears.

8. Gatorade then comfort food. I'd recommend chicken fried steak
Edited on Sat May-21-05 02:23 PM by Scout1071
and mashed potatoes followed by a nap.

If it's too early for chicken fried steak, then Mexican or greasy burger stat.

13. Take a vitamin
You lose Vitamins when you drink which contributes to hangovers.take one before you go to sleep and chances are you wont have one,not as bad anyway.

Sorry, but greasy food will do wonders with a hangover.

18. I hate to say it, since I've been avoiding McDonald's..
but in the past, A Big Mac and a large Coke did wonders for hangovers. I may have to consider this.

19. Or order a big ol' burger from someplace else.
Either way, it's pretty effective. Gatorade will help too. Lots of potassium in Gatorade. I mean, if athletes take it to combat dehydration, why not for a hangover?
