1. I have no idea how they do it
but I have seen stuff like this before and from what I understand they are real.

2. I'm sure they are real. However, I wonder if they allow people with
allergies to hold them?

3. I think they probably are
Edited on Thu May-26-05 12:32 AM by NV Whino
I've seen actual sketches that are amazing. I think it has to do with having way too much time on one's hands.

I thought I was doing good to get something that vaguely resembled a circle or a square.

I don't doubt that such images can be created on an Etch-A-Sketch; I wouldn't want to spend the time trying to do them, though. I was perfectly happy drawing squiggly lines and calling it abstract art.

5. You never know these days
with electrons being manipulated and all. I have seen some awesome stuff done on an electric canvas.

6. On further reflection: One way to do it
Edited on Thu May-26-05 12:37 AM by elperromagico
would be to start off with a transparency of whatever image you want. Then you could simply "trace" the image on the Etch-A-Sketch.

Assuming it was done in some similar way, I guess it wouldn't be that difficult.

If this was done freehand, it's just too damned impressive.

8. I LOVE Etch A Sketch!
The best cheap time-killer in existence! I used to spend hours playing with those when I was a kid.

Man, what memories!
