I consider myself something of a guest on DU, so I have something in my sig line that identifies me as Canadian.

And no one has made me feel unwelcome as a "foreigner" here. I know I've rubbed more than a few people the wrong way with my opinions, but no one's brought up my Canadian-ness when I've pissed them off.

American DUers are the best.

there are a couple like Tuvor lower on this page that because of his avatar I know are Canadians but generally I can't tell a Canadian DUer from an American one unless the subject of the thread may be particular to Canada.

We like lakeside cabins? But I realize it's a city so?

I just don't want a motel/hotel type thing. But then again if it's quaint, I'd consider anything.

We generally like a peaceful setting, but want to see the city as well.

37. I love
the Fort Garry hotel, its lush.

If you're looking for history, check out the Exchange District (also lots of theater, neat shops, and drunks around), Osborne Village has a pretty good night life, hipsters and hipsterettes love Cordyon Ave for gelati and patio drinks, St Boniface has a really neat museum and also lots of french speakers, Assiniboine Park/Forest is amazing for walks plus theres an art gallery, sculpture garden, zoo and fancypants restaurant in there

If I think of any more I'll letcha know

I can't tell.

44. Honestly, not at all
I am so glad there are a lot of really cool people from around the world on this board. it makes it more interesting. I have learned a lot about other places and cultures just shooting the shit with a DUer from Germany or a DUer from the UK etc.

The only way I know a poster is canadian is usually if they have a Canadian flag or something Canadian in their name like BC Joe or Toronto Dave.
