Pickles on the "Sesame Street" set, with "I Don't Wanna Get Drafted Elmo."

"The House Appropriations Committee approved a bill on June 16, 2005 that would cut funding for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting by $100 million, or 25 percent, starting in October. The funding cut was included in a massive, $142.5 billion spending bill for health, education and labor programs that still must be passed by the full House and Senate. U.S. first Lady Laura Bush (C) poses with Sydney Martinez (L) and Sienna Jefferies (R) and characters of the children's television show 'Sesame Street' after reading a book to several youth in New York, in this September 19, 2002 file photo. 1. Somebody should get Laura in front of a camera
and ask her what she thinks of cutting funding for public television. I have to believe the former Democrat still has a bit of good in her.
