Ugh, its like a torrential downpour here (warning: whiney post)
in Long Island. I'm supposed to go to class today--I was teetering on the edge of not going anyways, I'm unprepared and irritable..

So I decide to go and I get halfway there (15 min walk and I have an umbrella with me) and my jeans/shoes are soaked, my left arm is getting soaked despite the umbrella--I got to this part where it was kinda flooded. Long story short, I gave up.

I'm from Southern CA and rain stops me from going to class. So pathetic and so frustrating! I'm only allowed to miss 1 day and had some tentative pre-planned stuff where I might miss a day already. x(

I'm crossing my fingers that maybe the Professor didn't go to class either.

7. I know..boo hoo..
If I wasn't so moody already, it wouldn't bother me.

Any consolation, I ran into 2 classmates on the way back who were staring through the windows of the Student Center building contemplating whether to even try or not.

At least I tried and got soaked, THEN gave up. They were still dry. ;)

None here in over two weeks.

3. You wouldn't do well here where we
have afternoon showers, well, almost every afternoon. And I mean afternoon thunderstorms with lightening and heavy rain.

12. Yeah I suspect I wouldn't
Where I'm from rain becomes an excuse for staying home.

I love the look and feel of a rainy day though, but I wouldn't be able to be productive in it.

14. It can be hard to be productive, but
our afternoon storms usually blow over after about an hour or so and out comes the sun again. But we do get horrible tornadoes and other horrible storms here.

I actually did go..made it there mostly dry this time. Glad I did because now I'm on the attendence and can take that planned future day off I had without any undue stress. :)

Underpants and ice cream, huh? I'll consider that for the remainder of the day. ;)
